Just as the celebration of Mouton Cove's Bi-Centennial gets under way, it has been reported that one of its native sons has been exposed as a fraud. "Fifty Horse" Mark Broussard, who was recently featured in this publication, is shown above being reprimanded by world famous bluesman Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown after he discovered the coon ass didgeridoo that Mr. Broussard claimed to have developed was in fact not a true instrument at all. It seems the music was a pre-recorded track and not actually played by Fifty Horse. Don LaCour (middle), present at the event, is reported to have made the discovery. When contacted, the Bi-Centennial committee spokesman stated that although this is a great disappointment, the celebration will go on as scheduled. It is most likely that Mr. Broussard will be removed from consideration as a nominee in the upcoming Grammy Awards. Associate Member 43694 Mike Stites, Harry Reems Athletic Club |
